October 1, 2020 – South Africa’s borders were opened for international leisure travellers at midnight and Lufthansa Flight LH572 was the first flight to land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. At the same time, the South African Government issued out a list of Red Lighted countries that will not be allowed to originate travellers due the high incidences of COVID19 there.
Social gatherings above six banned in England from 14 September
September 9, 2020 – Britain has seen a sharp rise in #COVID19 cases again with the government now setting a new legal limit from 14th September 2020, that will ban larger groups meeting anywhere socially indoors or outdoors. The restrictions however will not apply to schools, workplaces or Covid-secure weddings, funerals and organised team sports. Ant transgressions will attract a £100 fine if people fail to comply with police, with the fine doubling up to a maximum of £3,200. A full list of exemptions will be published by the government later.

The aftermath of the outbreak of the #CoronaVirus #COVID19 has seen the Chinese Government taking an unprecedented step in the management and consumption of wild animals.
The National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPC) approved the ban (Eating of Wild Animals) on Monday 24 February 2020 in a bid to help “safeguard public health and ecological security,” according to Chinese state media.

This surely now begs the question, how much of the countries’ resources should be channeled to Heal Infrastructure compared to Consumption and novelty infrastructure projects?
National public health capabilities and infrastructures are now at the core of global health security, because they are the first line of defence in infectious disease emergencies; as evidenced by China and #COVID19 this year.
As such there is a need for the International Community to look at ways of rethinking and financing of critical Infrastructure going forward.

As the threat of coronavirus disease looms over the continent, the World Health Organization (WHO) promised to support African Union Member States on a common preparedness and response strategy. WHO joined Health Ministers in an Emergency Meeting on the Coronavirus Disease Outbreak, which was convened on 22 February by the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Only Confirmed Case of #COVID19 in Africa Recovering Well – 21/02/2020
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the person previously confirmed as having coronavirus in Egypt was on their way to recovery, after latest tests showed they were “no longer carrying the virus”.
“He will remain in quarantine until the full 14-day period is over and will be undergoing further required tests to ensure he was fully recovered,” WHO spokeswoman Inas Hamam wrote in an email. Read More
